We did three separate backpacking trips in the Trinity Alps; spending
a total of 14 nights in the backcountry.
Climbed Mt. Shasta 14,192' volcano, then slid on our
butts for some of the way down.
Castle Crags State Park
After working at Alta for the winter, I traveled to California and spent 7 weeks working for the outdoor education company Naturalist at Large. After my work ended I picked up Tim and we started adventuring.
From June to September we lived in the Venture Van, camped, climbed, hiked, swam in rivers and lakes, read, and enjoyed ourselves in the outdoors. We saw northern California from the redwoods on the coast, Mt. Shasta, Castle Crags, Trinity Alps wilderness, to Bald Mountain Ranch.
